Other times, there is no connectivity on your end. These errors are common examples of network error. It appears when there is something wrong during connection hence it cannot reach its end source. Still, these errors indicate the nature of the issue to help you resolve it.

List of the common network errors:

  • A Network Cable Is Unplugged
  • IP Address Conflict Address Already in Use
  • The Network Path Cannot Be Found
  • Duplicate Name Exists on the Network
  • Limited or No Connectivity
  • Connected with Limited Access
  • "Unable to Join Network Failure" error -3
  • "Unable to Establish the VPN Connection" error 800

A user in the forum details it further:

Why won't this work? I tried all 4 PCI slots with no success. I had the same problems with the installation disc. After the install (after which nothing happens), I click on the Belkin Wireless Networking Utility icon on the desktop and it says "missing shortcut: searching for Belkinwcui.exe", after which I get a window saying "The item Belkinwcui.exe that this shortcut refers to has been changed of moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly".

Am I missing something? That exe file isn't anywhere in my computer, searching through Explorer. I'm experiencing an almost identical issue. On top of that, the system is not recognizing the card.

I removed the card, used the installation disc and am not able to get very far. I checked Device Manager to see if the card was found - it was with a troubleshoot exclamation point on it. Please help, if you can. Any else out there get this card working?

However, I was lazy and didn't do any research. Since that was so easy I bought another card for my windows 7 machine. I installed this same card (same model, different physical card) on a pc running xp sp3 very easily. In fact, in the Belkin install folder (Program Files (x86) -> Belkin ->FSD8001v1...) there just looks like maybe a driver (AegisE5.dll) and an application (AegisI5) that doesn't run.

How come I can't install my Wireless Card? Before I came upon this forumn I found a couple of google links saying this card was incompatible with vista (therefore incompatible with w7?). However, when I click to open the .exe nothing happens.

I'm trying (desperately) to set up my network on Windows 7, but have hit a bump in that it just cannot find my network. After multiple install / unistall / restarts I was able to get the client installed. My next choice, I guess is to take my PC upstairs and line it into my modem/base station directly, but I'd rather not move it.

What causes Cannot Setup Wireless Network (Belkin N1 Network Card)

Seeing a network error while you are in time constraints can be annoying but there are still solutions to these errors. Once an error message appears, you can click on the Diagnose option using the Windows wizard to run a diagnosis of the problem. After several minutes, Windows will show you the cause of the problem while also providing the right solutions. However, there are times when Windows may not give you all the answers so you need to fix it manually. First, you need to change your adapter settings. Look for the settings in the Network and Sharing center. Second, reset the TCP/IP. If changing the adapter setting, you can change the TCP/IP. Third is to uninstall network adapters so you can scan and apply any changes in the hardware.

Belkin wireless card doesn't detect network

The prompts on the utility screen read:

Profile name: Default
Operating mode: infrastructure
Channel = 3 (greyed out)
SSID = ANY
Tx Rate = Auto
MAC address = 00-30-BD-D2-BF-06
status = scanning

There is no signal strength or link quality. Wireless channel is 3 (it was defaulted to 11, I changed it to match the wireless card), SSID = WLAN, broadcast SSID is checked. When I have my wired network adapter installed on the laptop, it works great too. I click on the site survey tab and there is nothing listed.

I want to connect to my existing wired network. The wired part of the network is working beautifully. Can anyone help me? All wired PCs can talk to each other.

The WLAN light on the router is solid green. Version Info

Belkin 54g wireless desktop network card installat

i have tried the new hardware wizard in the control panel and nothing happens, and when i click belkin utility in the control panel the tab says " no adapters".
ive recently bought 2 of the above wireless PCI cards to use for a network in ad hoc mode. Can anyone help? ok i got that sorted, but i cant send files over the computers.

Ive put them in the same workgroup and allowed remote access. Also, when i go to the worgroup and try to access the computer it says that it is not accessible and i should talk to the administrator on the computer, which i am on both PC's, can anyone help with this? Also, i have windows XP pro which should have got these drivers automatically. I have followed the instructions in the manual (install the wireless belkin utility off of the disk first, then shut down and put in the card) but after i have put in the card and i reboot , windows doesnt pick up the new device.

i did some of the windows XP wizards but these dont seem to do anything

Belkin Wireless Notebook Network Card & Router

However, when I try to connect to the internet via this system it keeps saying that the modem cannot detect a phone line. and like you, I also had this problemCheers !
I just setup a Wireless network at home with a wireless router and it all works just great !

I am a total novice and have recently had a new laptop and have attempted to add wireless connection - unsuccessfully I may add!!!! Any ideas????? Have loaded the Network card and the signal indicator has gone green (strong signal) and also the Router Box has been set up (I think). JanDee,Check in control panel under network connections that if there is an entry for dial up, get it removed, this should stop it trying to dial in to a dial up connection instead of through the router.

Belkin Wireless Desktop Network Card F5D7000

The new build was mostly new parts, except I was hoping to bring over my wireless network card. I also tried using the Version 7 and 8 drivers available here: Official Belkin Support Site | Wireless G Desktop Card F5D7000 v1, v2, v3, v4, v5, v6, v7, v8 - Driver Only Packages (US) I also tried to install them in Windows Vista compatability mode. Although V7 and V8 seem to install (or at least the wizard finishes and the files are put on my drive), I don't think they are actually functioning as the machine still isn't recognising any wireless networks. My old PC was Windows 7 32bit.

Thank you. My old PC was a Dell Dimension 9200 (the specifications of which can be viewed in my profile). I've plugged this card into the motherboard and it's being recognised as an attachment, but I believe I'm having trouble with the drivers as the computer isn't showing any wireless networks. See if the Links below help ....

I tried using the Dell network drivers, but got an error saying the hardware wasn't correct (I assume it checks to see if it's a Dell motherboard, which it no longer is). This came with my Dell machine and is a Belkin Wireless Desktop Network Card F5D7000. The network icon has a red cross through it and the troubleshooting just tells me to attach an Ethernet cable. My new PC is Windows 7 64bit.

What driver for Belkin Wireless G network card & Windows 7?

I've tried googling to download it though and there appears to be nothing from the broadcom website or elsewhere.

Hopefully this is a relatively simple question. As yet Belkin do not offer a driver for Windows 7 and their Vista one doesn't work.

Solved: Need help linking LINKSYS router to wireless BELKIN-g network card

I have downloaded the latest belkin driver. but it won't connect because windows error message says: "the network did not assign a network address to the computer". After I typed the password in my home network shows up at full strength and it is trying to connect because I can see the tiny green and yellow lights flashing on the netword card......

This may help: On my pc, in which the router is plugged into, the IP number on the local area connection is different than the IP number showing on the laptop connection details.

can you post an ipconfig /all - see below

also do you have a firewall on the PC - if so close it down

then ping - see below

post all results back here
Hold the Windows key and press R, then type CMD (COMMAND for W98/WME) to open a command prompt:

In the command prompt window that opens, type type the following commands one at a time, followed by the Enter key:

IPCONFIG /ALL

PING 206.190.60.37

PING yahoo.com

Right click in the command window and choose Select All, then hit Enter to copy the contents to the clipboard. C:\Documents and Settings\wayne>ping {the default gateway ipaddress you got above }
C:\Documents and Settings\wayne>ping google.com

Minitar PCI Wireless Network Card & Belkin N1 Vision Modem/Router Conflict

Also I am running Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate, Service Pack 2, 32-Bit. Then you need to configure your router http://setup.belkin.com/guide.html

Then you need to write down the configurations. I set up the new Modem and the Network Card, only to find that everytime the Network Card connects to the new Modem it says "Limited, Or No Connectivity.". Might want to make sure also that your router and your wireless card can work with one another..

I recently upgraded my DLINK DSL - G604T Modem/Router, to a Belkin N1 Vision Modem/Router because the DLINK wasn't reaching my Brother's laptop at the other end of the house. So you can connect to the network. I have looked on Google for some solutions for this problem, but I had no luck.

Hey Guys. Make sure its secure though..If you still have problems you still might be too far away...its hard to go through walls sometimes and the distance can be a issue. The day I bought the N1 Vision, I also bought myself a Minitar 802.11b/g/n* Wireless LAN PCI Card (Model: MWNPC-1).

Cannot connect to wireless network using Belkin F5D7000 card and Netgear N300 router

The network connection diagram in Vista suggests the problem is between the internet and the router but I know this is not the case as I have successfully connected other devices via the wireless network. Cheers

Matt

No idea why this is the case.

I have tried to download the latest drivers from Belkin for a version 8 F5D7000 but for some reason they wont install (when I click on the install file it thinks for a second then does nothing). I know the router is N and the card is G but the router should still work with the older card, right? I have recently moved house and had new broadband installed complete with new Netgear N300 router. If I can't solve then I'll no doubt end up buying a new PCI card but I didn't want to have to bother right at this moment.

Any help would be fantastic! Now I am unable to connect to the internet even though my desktop says it can see the wireless network (though it does say it is unidentified). Could it be anything to do with the fact that the card, being older, is WEP and my router has no option for WEP, only WPA onwards? If so, would the latest driver from Belkin in effect 'upgrade' my card to allow it to carry same encryption as the router?

virgin wireless network and belkin play wireless network simultaneously?

So is it possible to get out internet from the virgin wireless router and access the hard drive through our Belkin router? Connect from the primary router's LAN port to one of the LAN ports on the secondary router. We would however like to still access out hard drive from all around the house. This has worked fine fo rus for a while now.

Note: Do this first, as you will have to reboot the computer to connect to the router again for the remaining changes. Setup the wireless section just the way you would if it was the primary router, channels, encryption, etc. For instance DHCP server addresses 192.168.0.2 through 192.168.0.100, I'd assign the secondary router 192.168.0.254 as it's IP address, 192.168.0.253 for another router, etc.

Configure the IP address of the secondary router(s) to be in the same subnet as the primary router, but out of the range of the DHCP server in the primary router. However with Virgin upgrading the internet they are provinding some new superhub (theri words) wireless router for free and it makes sense to use it as I suspect it will be faster and able to cope with the 60mb internet speed. For reference, here's a link to a Typical example config using a Netgear router

------------------------------------------------------------------------

No changes are made to the primary "router" configuration.

i will need to set up 5 computers to do this - 1 is running windows 7 basic,1 windows 7home...

HP Pvilion dv6000, adding Belkin wireless wireless G network adapter

My HP laptop, warrantied expired 2 months ago. Any help would be appreciated..

For some reason after loading the Belkin in, it does not find any wireless networks. I called Belkin and spoke with their help desk but they were not helpful.

I was able to install it on my IBM T23 and Gateway laptop.

I have been experiencing wireless wifi connection problems with my HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop. My question, short of disabling my HP wireless card, do I have to remove the actual software (uninstall broadcom ) so the computer will look only at the belkin software? The IBM is old and has no built in wireless card.

ON my HP pavilion dv6000, I slid the wireless button to disable and also went into device manager and disable there too. I bought a BelkinWirelss G USB network adapter- F5D7050 and tried to install it on this laptop. I am running xppro (I went from vista to xp pro..took a long time as I am slow) Anyway, I read that you can add another wireless network card as a work around, in the event that the internal wireless card breaks/dies.

I had to disable the radio on the gateway before it worked.

Belkin wireless network help please

It says it is enabled but has a cross through it saying it is disconnected!!!, I have set it up to search automatically for IP addresses etc. Both computers show that the wireless connection is unavailable. What am I missing or not doing??

You have a wireless router or access point?

I have restarted the computer, reinstalled software etc.

I have just installed a belkin wireless adapter to my PC and network card to my laptop but I cannot get them to work.

Windows 7 laptop with Atheros AR9285 network card can't connect to wireless network

Disable encryption on the router and try to connect. My wireless network icon in the task bar has a yellow sign with an exclamation point in it. Other devices in my home connect to the network just fine, and the problem laptop has always been fine until now. Like I said, all other devices in my house connect to the wireless network with no problem.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Revert to a System Restore Point before the weekend.

It's just this one laptop. This past weekend I went out of town and took my Windows 7 laptop with me -- since I returned home, it has been unable to connect to my wireless network.

If successful you can probably re-enable encryption and reconnect. If you have McAfee please see the sticky thread at the top of this (Networking) forum. My network card is an Atheros AR9285, and I'm attempting to connect to a Medialink router with WPA password protection and AES encryption.

It says "No Internet access."

I have tried:

-rebooting the computer
-unplugging and restarting the modem and router
-going to the command prompt and renewing my IP address with the command IPCONFIG/RENEW

None of this works.

Belkin network card

in which case i will tell her to get a usb adapter

I take it this is a PCMCIA card , make sure it isn't crossing the 2 slots ( if there are two ) are gently push home until the longish button pops out ( the bit you push back in to extract the card ) Does this laptop have the bars that fold over when not in use , maybe that could be stopping it ...what make of Dell is it ? Ashley
Also , if the little bars are out already , push them back in first before installing the card .
friend has brought a belkin network card to replace the dell network card that they have lost.

As far as i can tell it will not fit and i do not want to force it. Do dell laptops only take dell network cards????

Network card name reporting incorrectly in wireless network list area

It reports the correct name except within the wireless network list. Anyone else seen this? Any way I can correct it? Instead of 6230 it reports 6320.

My rig uses a Centrino Advanced-N 6230 wireless mini half-card. If its working, I wouldn't loose any sleep over it.

I searched the registry to see if I could find the error, but nothing found.

It's only a nuisance, and a minor one at that. See image below:

Can only suggest you may not be using the latest wireless driver, but if you are, it must be a typo in the signature file written into the card's firmware which can only be changed by the manufacturer and may be noticed by them in the next release.
