Cisco 1720 is the name of the error that contains information about the error, including the reason why it occurred, which system component or application was malfunctioning that caused the error, and other information. The numerical code in the name of the error contains data that can be decoded by the manufacturer of the faulty component or application. An error using this code can occur in many different places in the system. A user in the forum details it further:

And my line relibilty goes down from 255 -138 can't figure it out could it be phoneline? I have a cisco 1720 on my network and its pluged into a 2950 cisco switch.the eth light is suposed to be steady but i blinks and my remote store slows down sometimes aborted.now i run on a 56k frame{i think i'm the only} but the phone company has test and says everything is good, now i have reset our equipment on both sides does not make a difference.but if i reset the switch where the router is pluged into it works great again for about 24hrs then goes back to the way it was. I don't know.

Cisco 1720 Question

I have gotten conflicting answers...some say with a particular IOS, others have said the processor is not suited for trunking. When I do Sh Enc at the config mode prompt the encapsulation command is there...does anyone know if the 1720s are capable of trunking? Whenever I try to enable subinterfaces on the fixed FastEthernet port of the 1720 to enable an 802.1q trunk link, I get an % Unrecognized Command. I have to setup a network for a small business and was intending on using VLANs.

HELP with T1 configuration with a cisco 1720

I just got a cisco 1720 and I don't know how to configure to be able to use my T1 service,
please help me here.

Cisco 1700/1720 AC Adapter?

c.) knows where I can get one for about 10-15 shipped. ($20 is the absolute maximum I can afford to just totally waste on this.)
Mods, if this is inapproprate for the forum, feel free to delete it.

I posted in FS/FT for one of these (where it probably should be) but haven't gotten any bites, so I figure let me ask in the networking forum if anyone:

a.) has one to sell cheap in case my router is indeed shot

b.) would like to lend me/rent one to me. I'll pay shipping both ways.

T1 + cisco 1720 + utilization = huge latency

Am I have delusions of sunshines and rainbows or should the router be able to balance traffic/requests with some kind of QoS so that something like ONE FTP transfer doesn't cause our connection to shit the bed and be useless for everyone else. What seems odd is that when I initiate a downstream FTP transfer or HTTP transfer (ie windows update) and am running at 130-140KB/s, all latency goes to shit. Any ideas?

You could setup traffic shaping to limit bandwidth for certain applications. The only thing I can think of is that we flashed it about a year ago with new firmware (but even then our TAC contact wrote all our config values into the firmware and we flashed it with that).

I really don't seem to remember it being this bad in the past.

We're maxing out our bandwidth on our T1 at times. I can understand that if we're sending/recieving more data than can fit through our pipe we're going to drop packets. What's frustrating is that when our usage is pegged, latency goes to shit.

I've spoken with a collegue who has the same router on a T1 and doesn't seem to have the same issues. It's somewhat understandable as we've increased headcount and there's a lot more younger employees on our network. You may want to poll your router for SNMP data regarding errors/cpu and memory utilization. show process command may help also

BSOD - crashed during Cisco Jabber VOIP call and Cisco WebEx Meeting

No dump in the zip file you uploaded so not much I can do. error on screen was: ?IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL?

any further analysis of this mini-dump would be appreciated. Problem 1, he's still at 10586.

Needs to apply all Windows Updates to get up to 14393.693. After that test and see if any more problems occur.

the BSOD occurred while he was using a Cisco Jabber VOIP call and a Cisco WebEx meeting.

Any idea if Cisco is coming up with a VPN app ( like cisco anyconnect for andriod) for Windows phone?

This has hold up my decision to buy lumia. Any pointers on this app will be a great help. I need to connect to my office network while away from office.

SLR510 + Thinkpad Wireless driver + Cisco H-REAP (Function in Cisco AP)

It either bluescreens with 0x000008E IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL or 0x00000C2 BAD_POOL_CALLER. When changing the AP mode to Local (in the controller) it works without a problem. Anyone out there who had this error? Many times this problem can be related to BSOD errors of this nature.

*Edit* I also know of an application called bluescreenview that allows you to see crash information stored in dump files. It's configured via a wireless controller 5508 When connecting to the network with WPA2 PSK Enterprise i get Bluescreen on the computer.

Mark it as "solution provided" to help others with the same problem.

It oftentimes can identify the driver that is causing the problem.

Hey All, We have a Cisco wireless network enabled with AP mode = H-REAP.

Did someone solve a problem you encountered?

[solved] Cisco switch configure Cisco catalyst 3500xl

Which means there is no routing /layer 3 functionality.

I have a Cisco catalyst 3500xl I ran the standard installation and entered a ip subnet and gateway that's all i'm new to Cusco but I want my ports all have internet access but not sure how

First question is what type of ISP service do you have and how many devices? If you want to connect 5 devices, you'll need 5 static IPs from your ISP.

The reason is that 3500xl switch is a layer 2 switch only.

New Cisco Cert; Cisco Certified Architect (above CCIE)

Wow, that's nuts. Kinda depressing that there's something higher than the CCIE now though, lol.

This just got passed around the office.

Question about the Cisco ConfigMaker v2.6 on my Cisco 2514 Router

Lukas

Don't most enterprise gear from cisco come with a limited lifetime warranty (regardless of who or where bought?)

Run the AutoDetect Device Wizard again. Failed to learn the device hardware configuration and the Cisco IOS software parameters.

Any input? I try it again and same thing.

So I try using it, and it pops up with the following message when I use the AutoDetect Device Wizard:

Device Information is corrupted.

Cisco Sip firmware & Cisco support Contract

Is there a way I could just pay for the file I need, or something more reasonable? I don't have hundreds of dollars to purchase a support contract for a simple firmware download for this phone. Recently I have been studying up on VOIP technology, and I am trying to become more familliar with it with an in home lab. Unfortunately right now the phone appears to have the default firmware on it, and I need to flash it with the latest SIP firmware.

All,

Good day! Tonight I purchased a brand new Cisco 7905G IP phone with power brick ($40), and I want to use it with Sipgate, & a future PBX system. So after searching through link after link, I located the correct firmware, however I am unable to download the firmware due to not having a Cisco support contract.

Any help from anybody would be greately appreciated.

converting cisco load director 416 into cisco pix 520

but ive not seen one ever in a green cisco case that took a regular computer's motherboard.

in the wikipedia article about cisco pix it states:

The PIX 520 shares basic components, such as motherboard, chassis, NIC's, flash cards, etc, with the Cisco LocalDirector 416/420/430. there was a serial card that controlled the machine.

was a 4U rackmount case, with a pentium 120, 16 megs of EDO, and 2 3com ISA cards. how would i go about doing this? does this meen i could somehow convert the 416 into a pix 520?

Cisco Auto QoS VoIP w/ Non-Cisco Phones

Much appreciated!

Alright, I know this is possible, I'm just curious as what needs to be setup to make it work? Perhaps I will have to do "auto qos voip trust"? (But then it's a security risk, not too mention, poor configuration)

A nearby school district has poor voice quality due to misconfigured QoS. I'm thinking making sure that the phone marks the DSCP/CoS values the same as a Cisco phone would, then it will work?

Alright, I know this is possible, I'm just curious as what needs to be setup to make it work?

I'm thinking making sure that the phone marks the DSCP/CoS values the same as a Cisco phone would, then it will work? You don't need CDP for something like this, CDP would only be required for things like Voice VLAN assignment for Cisco phones. The switches are 2960s, not sure what version of IOS.

Let me know if you have other questions.

If the phone can mark traffic then you're going to want to trust it at the port and preserve the DSCP/CoS markings then queue it according...

New Cisco CCT (Cisco Certified Technician) Certifications

Seems like something you should only get if you work with a company that uses it. The CCT certifications validate the job skills of hardware field engineers who perform onsite support, maintain Cisco equipment and effectively work with the Cisco Technical Assistance Center to resolve onsite support issues. The Data Center one sounds like a good compliment to the normal CCENT/CCNA studies. The Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) training and certification programs are designed for technicians who perform onsite support and maintenance of Cisco infrastructure for Routing and Switching, TelePresence and Data Center solutions.

I got the email this morning announcing the the new CCT (Cisco Certified Technician) exams. The modular online training can be conveniently accessed when needed, maximizing flexibility for technicians serving customers in the field.Click to expand... I am not sure about the TelePresence one.

I wonder what this would be more equal to, the CCENT or the CCNA.

Dell 1720

I have installed latest drivers (8400M GS) and updated Windows. Happens at random moments but lasts no longer than a couple of seconds.

Current issue:

For a brief second or two, the screen blinks i guess (best way to describe it). Could this possible be a hardware issue or software?

Help still needed.

What can I do now? Turned off a couple of features such as screen saver and such. First time I experienced this issue with a laptop before and I am not to familiar with the inside of a laptop.
