A mistake or inaccuracy, an error is caused about by committing miscalculations on the things that you do. It is a state of having a wrong judgement or conception in your conduct that allows catastrophic things to happen. In machines, error is a way to measure the difference between the observed value or the computed value of an event against its real value.

It is a deviation from correctness and accuracy. When errors occur, machines crash, computers freeze and softwares stop working. Errors are mostly unintentional events to happen. Most of the time, errors are a result of poor management and preparation.

A user in the forum details it further:

i would appreciate the help very much and i thank you all for your time also i posted this in the performance section because i figured since it was photoviewer and other programs, all different types of programs that this would be the right section, i hope it is, and im sorry if it is not. Have you tried running system restore to a time you didn't have this issue? System Restore

when i try to do a search on this error everything i find is related to windows updates mainly not being able to update. its a windows 7 x64 computer, now the programs im using are basic programs that have worked for me for close to 2 years, recently when i try to view a picture larger or open programs(any program at all) i get this error 0x8007007e says there was an error and the program could not be opened showing me that error, sometimes the programs will still open anyways, sometimes i have to retry multiple times, and other times i have to restart the pc to make it work. im at a loss on what could fix this problem.

attempting to migrate OS to a larger HDD :(

Really don't understand how to use ATI to do this!Lappy running XP Pro on 3.2GB HDD:Want to migrate to 20GB HDD from another Laptop not re-formatted, still has XP Home on it but is housed in a caddy at the mo.Lappy has TI8 Personal edition "freebie" on it, but discovered that it doesn't have all the features...notably the one I need!..."Clone".More things designed to cripple my attempts; laptop has only one USB (1.1) port, Drive caddy requires two USB connections! Is it possible to do what I want with the resources available?Maybe another way of skinning this moggie:-My main PC has a bought and paid for copy of TI Home 2009 on it and a profusion of USB 2.0 sockets.I also have two external HDD's available if needed besides the little one with the 20GB laptop drive in it.Would it be possible/preferable to do this as a cloning from one external source (Laptop) to another, the spare 20GB drive (in the caddy)

Oh, and when interrogating the 3.2GB drive, I find that it's formatted FAT 32.Can that be changed to NTFS in the process?

Attempting to upgrade Yogo Pro 2 SSD to larger one by cloning (and obviously failing)

The laptop: Yoga Pro 2OS: Windows 8.1Situation: The laptop comes with a Samsung 128gb ssd (mSATA).  I used this space up, and need to upgrade to a larger SSD. Solution: I bought a Crucial M550 256gb ssd from MicroCenter for $159, and a Kingwin KM-U3MSATA USB 3.0 Mini SATA SSD Enclosure Adapter.  I downloaded a few free cloning programs, EaseUS, Acronis and Macrium Reflect.   Problem:  OK, so i have cloned a few HDD's in my day.  Never once had a problem transferring full cloning to a new larger drive.  But this time I am having all kinds of problems.  Process- 1) I stick 256GB card in Kingwin Enclosure. 2) I plug enclosure into USB 3.0 slot on Yoga.3) I select Disk Management 4) Disk management says it needs to initialize disk before using.  Asks me to choose either MBR or GBT.  I choose what is preslected- GBT. 5) Disk appears now in Disk Management as Unallocated. 6) Open up EaseUS, and select the cloning option.7) Choose all the partitions in the first section, and my new 256gb drive as the option to clone them too.  I leave uncheced "optimize for ssd" and something else about sector stuff.  8) All seems to be going well.  Sectors start writing.  9) Then for ...

How to Fix Error 0x8007007e?

Error 0x8007007e

Mod Edit:  Split from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/t/513138/unable-to-logon-a-problem-is-preventingchecking-license/ - Hamluis.

I have the same problem, and since the proposed fix is shown, thought I would continue the question [since fix cannot be done].

Have been using XP SP2 and installed SP3 several weeks ago.  All was working great, therefore I backed up my work via Ghost....several times.  I did have a problem though that prompted me to restore back to an earlier restore point, several times and different restore points and all worked fine.

The last time though I thought the problem I was having might be due to SP3, so I restored to a restore point that was created before I installed SP3.  When the computer rebooted, I received the error code above 0x8007007e  Warning states that the license cannot be verified.  I do have the license on the shiny mirrored sticker that is on the box for the original disk.  I can get to the user log in screen [I am the only one who has used this computer since it was new and I have the discs that came with it new] and after logging in, it shows the error code and shuts down.  I cannot get into the computer to even attempt to fix by the suggested fix.

I really like my old clogger [have a new Macbook Pro but prefer the old MS].  I need help to solve....please.  [If this should be posted new...let me know and I can do that.]

Yes Angie, that's happened to me as well with Quicktime. angielynn said:

Any help would be greatly appreciated. In that case, have you tried uninstalling the program in safe mode? I've never had any problem with removing things from the startup menu before. I installed SP2 about 3 months ago and had no problems removing programs before I installed it.

Rundll Error, Can't Open Word Documents, Can't Open Some Of My Pictures, Low Memory

When double-clicking on them, an Adobe Photoshop Album window opens with the words 'failed to load photo'. I tried going back and restoring my computer in hopes of being able to access my pictures. My memory about a year ago was about half free. Rundll window at start up:
Error Loading C:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\Drivers\W32X86\3\DLCQtime.dll

This specifiec module could not be found.

I'm having 4 problems. I don't have any Office 2003 cd's. I have Windows XP Home Edition 2002. ~tmcc

When I double click on Word documents, a Window Installer box opens and says 'preparing to install' with a cancel button.

The cd's I have that I think are for my Word documents are Microsoft Works Suite 2000. Then, a Microsoft Office Edition 2003 box opens:
Installation Error:File not Found

A required installation file SKU112.CAB cound not be found
It then asks if installed from a cd to insert it or if downloaded from the internet to browse your system and find it. My last year vacation pictures will not open.

It is now showing I have 2 GB. I've ran spybot. That's all I knew to do.

LARGER PICTURES

Make slide show pictures larger

Is there a "Large Slide Show" setting I can set in Windows XP that will make the pictures display as a larger size? Thank you.

No, but you can do it with this software

http://maximumpcguides.com/windows-vista/windows-xp-powertoy-html-slide-show-wizard/

When I show my Slide Show in Windows 7, the pictures appear to be Full Screen, but on an XP machine, they're only postage stamp size.
