How To Fix Errors Pku2ulog failed to start 0xC--35, Negolog failed to start, IDListenLog failed to start, P2PLog failed to start and HomegroupLog failed to start, all with the same failure code 0xC-- 35.
A mistake or inaccuracy, an error is caused about by committing miscalculations on the things that you do. It is a state of having a wrong judgement or conception in your conduct that allows catastrophic things to happen. In machines, error is a way to measure the difference between the observed value or the computed value of an event against its real value.
It is a deviation from correctness and accuracy. When errors occur, machines crash, computers freeze and softwares stop working. Errors are mostly unintentional events to happen. Most of the time, errors are a result of poor management and preparation.
Having a sign that tells us of issues that we need to solve in life for us to move forward is a great idea. While it does not always work in life, it does in computers. Messages that indicate the issues your computer encounters are called error codes. They appear whenever there is a problem such as incorrect data input or faulty hardware. Computer programmers add predefined error codes and messages in their system codes so whenever there is an issue, it prompts the users. While error codes may be predefined, there are different sets of error codes with different meanings for other kinds of computer programs.
Activities in your computer program are posted in an Event Log, whether you simply accessed the program or when an error is encountered. Problems, however, are added in a different Event Log or also called an Error Log. Here you can find several text log files whenever there are hardware failures, driver hiccups or any other computer errors. In other words, an Error Log shows a database reporting program with simple flat text files, available for viewing by a user with Administrative rights. While it may contain nothing but text, these logs may come in handy when you want to know more about a source of a computer problem you encountered.

What causes Errors Pku2ulog failed to start 0xC--35, Negolog failed to start, IDListenLog failed to start, P2PLog failed to start and HomegroupLog failed to start, all with the same failure code 0xC-- 35.
If you received this error on your PC, it means that there is a malfunction in your system. Common causes are incorrect or unsuccessful installation or removal of software that could leave invalid entries in the Windows registry, the effects of a virus or malware attack, an incorrect system shutdown due to a power failure, or another factor in which a person with little technical knowledge accidentally deletes the required A system file or registry entry, as well as several other reasons. The immediate cause of "Errors Pku2ulog failed to start 0xC--35, Negolog failed to start, IDListenLog failed to start, P2PLog failed to start and HomegroupLog failed to start, all with the same failure code 0xC-- 35." is a failure when one of its normal operations is properly started by a system or application component.

If so, can I go for any hard drive or only Toshiba? Please advise. It is confusing whether it is really Hard drive issue? You should be able to replace it with any drive with the same dimensions. (You probably can use a thinner drive, but a spacer may be needed to mount it.) That includes SSDs that are intended as laptop HD replacements.
I see that there are a couple of YouTube videos showing how to replace the HD for your model laptop.

Windows Updates had an update for it.. So I downloaded update.. It looks like that was causing issues. Removed MS Security Essentials and installed Symantec istead.
Restared and it worked fine. Any ideas what this could be related to or what is causing it?

Guys, I'm running Windows XP and recently when I turn on my PC it makes a single beeb and then seems to run OK. Nor could I find it listed in the Device Manager or the Boot-start list in msconfig. I had Task Manager open at the time, however when I tried to shut Firefox down the PC started bleeping like mad and I was forced to do a hard shut down.
Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
I waited about 1 minute and then rebooted and immedietly went into the Error log and found the following entry:
"The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: StarOpen"
I tried Googling a fix with no luck and I can't find StarOpen in the Services, Apps or Program files. Tonight, I was running Firefox and the system seemed to slow, before becoming completely unresponsive.

Friends have told me that it might even have to do with software that is not 64 bit/vista compatible might be stuffing up when running in the background (I followed this advice and went on to remove norton, superantispyware and ulead from my system) but I am not sure what else there could be to remove. The solution to fixing this problem I founds was to go to Registry editor and change the Start D word from 1 to 4 (but I noticed some saying to delete it completely and yet other sources to change it from 1 to 0 and yet even others to change something that I don't even have under that folder). my mouse/keyboard is non-responsive) or the error message comes up after my computer freezes but any help in fixing this mouse/keyboard freezing would be very grateful. Cheers and sorry for the long post.
I looked at Google but thought I double check here (since the solutions via Google seem to be refering to a different OS to mine)

The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: BANTExt
Yes, BANText.sys is the Belarc Advisor system driver file.It is started automatically from a Run, RunOnce, RunServices, or RunServicesOnce entry in the registry everytime Windows starts. To prevent the error you would need to find and remove that entry in the registry.
I checked through the Event log in Administrator tools. How do I stop this error? Is it true?
I googled BANTExt and found out it's BelArc Advisor. I got the following error: The following boot-start or system-start driver(s) failed to load: BANTExt

I dont think I have a virus/malware problem, but maybe someone here will recognize it.http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/top...tml#entry844517ThanksUPDATE: I just finished running the a-squared command malware tool and all that it came up with was 19 cookies. Please try using this to repair the broken registry entry that may be causing this.Download Autoruns, search for the related entry and then delete it.Create a new folder on your hard drive called AutoRuns (C:\AutoRuns) and extract (unzip) the file there. (click HERE if you're not sure how to do this.)Open the folder and double-click on autoruns.exe to launch it.Please be patient as it scans and populates the entries. When done scanning, it will say Ready at the bottom.Scroll through the list and look for a startup entry related to the file(s) in the error message.Right-click on the entry and choose delete.Reboot your computer and see if the startup error returns.
I hope it's kosher to post a link to another post I made in the XP forum (I'm only doing this because someone suggested I do).
Satellite C660D froze and does not start - Windows failed to start
Ok pretty much the most dense person you will ever likely to meet when it comes to things like this. Did you create one in the past? In case this isn?t possible, you would need to boot from a recovery disk to reinstall the system.
Said I was pretty dense
I think its easy to fix but you would need an Toshiba Recovery disk.
A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. Now choose Repair my Computer. When I started it again the message below appeared. WINDOWS ERROR RECOVERY
Windows failed to start .
This would set the notebook back to factory settings. Couple of days ago my laptop froze on me resulting on me having to turn it off and start it again by the power button. but will try my best to explain.
Now new Window should open and here you should choose Toshiba HDD recovery option. If not, try to start the HDD recovery: power up the unit, press F8. My question is, is it easy to fix & if not where is the best place to take it to get fixed. If windows files have been damaged or configured in incorrectly, start up repair can help and diagnose the problem, if power was interrupted during start up, choose start windows normally.
-Launch Start up repair (recommended)
-Start windows normally
When I press Launch Start up repair it goes to a screen with a big cursor (which you can move around) but nothing else happens.
