Don't know what caused it.

Recently used file list has become unavailable in Word 2002 and XL 2002. I'm using Win XP Professional
and Office XP Small Business

Tools/Options/GeneralTab/Recently Used Files

is greyed out.

I did'nt know tweak could extend this function to app's other than windows . Perhaps something in Power Toys For XP TweakUI. Perhaps something in Power Toys For XP TweakUI.<<<<

In weak ui under the parnoia tab is an option to clear the recently open'd or used files.

In one section, there are about 6 cells merged together to create an open space, and I have a large segment of text pasted in (400 words)

Hey guys,

I have a spreadsheet that I am using to make a proposal for my company. The word wrap works on the first 15 lines or so, and then simply cuts off and continues as if there was no word wrap formating on the cell
Any ideas?

2) If those fields have multiple line addresses they should be migrated into separate fields.
3)If you import into a new table it should allow you to import all the fields. I'm sure there are loads more things but this is all i can think of for now. I tried to rebuild the database and import the data from the spreadsheet but wherever there was a line break in an address field, it was replaced by a lovely square symbol.



Its been about 9 years since I last worked with either access or excel and now im trying to fix a database that seems to have been corrupted. Please help. It seems the option to word wrap isnt available when i try to reenter the data into the new access database. Can you post a sample of the data with mock or fake values?
 

I discovered that in excel this is what happens to data that was word wrapped that is no longer word wrapped. In the Find What: section paste the square ("CTRL"+"V"). Its been 9 years since i last had to do this kind of stuff and I cant remember a thing.

1) Copy the little square then hit "CTRL"+"H" on the keyboard to bring you into Find/Replace. There are 9000 entries so its not possible to go through each one individually to remove the squares...

This problem occurs when editing large documents by many people in word 2002. The numbered list in question is a custom style, with only 1 level. Good Luck

I can think of no easy way to correct this, although someone more adept might. alternatively, is it possible to convert the numbers to normal text without re-typing them all? The list is broken and restarted many times throughout this one document.

However, after it has been opened and edited by another user, all the numbered lists change... second list

Although time consuming, the only way to correct this that occurs to me is to select all, delete the numbering, (and that way you can also see if someone typed in the numbers by mistake), and then renumber one page at a time (using the icon, and if necessary going to Format and then numbers), and then next time advise editors on how to number. if anyone has any suggestions on how to stop this from happening, it would be most appreciated.

Solved: Word 2002 - Autotext list has vanished! Help

and hit the Autotext tab, I can see that it just contains the default entries only. If I go to Tools - AutoCorrect Options... Select the Autotext tab. Hugely grateful for any help.
 



Word by default stores Autotext in Normal.dot, although you can have it stored elsewhere.

If not, the only other thing is, if someone else has the same wanted Autotext on their PC, find Normal.dot on that machine and copy it, when Word is closed, to the one without the words, overwriting the current Normal.dot
 

Go to Format, Styles and Formatting, and at the bottom of the column on the right, select Custom,, then click on organizer on the bottom left of the pop-up.

Just been called in to look at a problem with Word 2002 (XP).

I have 2003, but one thing that might help is to try this. The secretary came in this morning and discovered her autotext list had vanished. See if there are any other lists available. How does one recover this?

The problem is that I don't have an Acrobat menu in Word or Excel, as the manual says I should. I can't seem to find anywhere which will tell me how to get this menu up.Does anyone know?And could I do the same with Paint Shop Pro too, say, or any other program?Cheers. OFFICE 2002 (Word & Excel)

It's not as much a problem as an irritation because nothing else happens. If I open a document (Word) or a spreadsheet (Excel), as soon as I close it, even if I make no changes, I get an illegal operation. I'd appreciate any suggestions. It just crashes.

If I launch the program and close it again right away without opening a document or spreadsheet, it's fine.

i have just upgraded to word 2002 and when i now merge information from excel date and currency format changes. and no english!any ideas you bright lotthanks for reading my problems and about my inability to spell and cope.

In Word, Print Preview cuts off all text apart from a portion of about 2 inches wide and 1 inch deep down the centre of each page and ? and when clicking on Print Preview in Excel a dialog box shows ?margins do not fit page size?. Went to Control Panel -> Devices and printers and set a normal printer that can print A4 as the default printer.

3. my label printer, hence the size of the print preview.

Microsoft has a robust solution here, didn't help me, bit you may find it useful if my solution won't take your margins issue away.


Excel, Word, Access 2002 for XP Closes Unexpectedly

Some smaller Excel files do not crash, but if I run Macros the same thing happens. This started happening to me "out of the blue" about a week ago.
