How To Fix Multi-channel music computer build
Multi-channel music computer build is the name of the error that contains information about the error, including the reason why it occurred, which system component or application was malfunctioning that caused the error, and other information. The numerical code in the name of the error contains data that can be decoded by the manufacturer of the faulty component or application. An error using this code can occur in many different places in the system. Although the name contains some details, it is still difficult for the user to find and eliminate the cause of the error without specialized technical knowledge or the appropriate software.
From the Forums
A user in the forum details it further:
I really want to spend the money ONE time here and am sure there are some great ideas out there on how I can improve or even cut corners. I will never buy "off the rack" so who's built a mohuncher of a music editing system? I'd like to set up two RAM disks, each large enough to contain the contents of a standard DVD (4.2 Gigs). Soundforge and Acid also should run fine on 64 bit Vista (Windows 7 Ultimate when available).
Also blasted was my Echo Layla 24/96 audio interface and my Cubase 5.0 USB dongle. I administer a huge database, among many other things. With 24 Gigs total, this is no problem. Gotcha's like sound interface software though can be a headache.
I wish to spend this money building another box that will last me for a long while as well. Throughput is key of course as is graphics speed, 64 bit architecture and boatloads of RAM. I very seldom exceed 20 - 24 tracks at a time and if I have the math right, SATA II should do but I am having troubles locating data on actual throughput. The data is pounded daily by hundreds of live connections as well as over the internet.
[email protected] I am very familiar with throughput but find that it's not much of a consideration for MOST people (gamers, power users, graphics and video designers). I wish to build a new box from the ground up. Me, that's who.
What other systems are out there? Here 'tis: -- ww.eddiecurrents.com/ComputerBuild/order.jpg -- (the system would not let me post a link) I am ready to press the "place order" button. The insurance company paid me $2500 for the fried machine. It smoked at that time with Win2K, 1 Gig (!) of RAM and LVD SCSI 10,000 RPM drives.
I built a computer specifically to operate my modest home studio 9 years ago. I have a NewEgg order all set to place. I THINK I can do away with LVD SCSI as I believe that SATA II drives (even 7200 RPM ones) will do what I need.
I have used RAM disks for years and send all my temp files and editing files to it. It cost a bundle to build and has lasted me until the lightning hit it a few weeks ago. Data was fortunately backed up. Cubase 5 comes with both the 32 and 64 bit versions.
I've got a few days left before I will blow this money and any help is VERY much appreciated. I was just told I don't need an I7 and who needs 12 or 24 Gigs of RAM?
What causes Multi-channel music computer build
If you received this error on your PC, it means that there is a malfunction in your system. Common causes are incorrect or unsuccessful installation or removal of software that could leave invalid entries in the Windows registry, the effects of a virus or malware attack, an incorrect system shutdown due to a power failure, or another factor in which a person with little technical knowledge accidentally deletes the required A system file or registry entry, as well as several other reasons. I have my game sounds running though the speakers and voice chat through my headphones. So what I am trying to say is, have different sound playing out of the headphones than the speakers? Cheers
You need the onboard sound for 1 and the pci e one for the other.
Yes there is , but you will need to buy a soundcard for your pc assuming it is a pc?
Is there a way I can make my music play through one channel (Through speakers) and have my skype call go through a different channel (Through headphones) ? I bought a cheap one for ?10 a pci e soundcard.
First, you can connect a 2.1 speaker system, for example, to a 5.1 or 7.1 sound card. The integrated audio on your motherboard is at least 5.1. One : Do I have to have ALL speakers connected ?
Just set the speaker type, in the Sound/Playback panel for 2.1 (if that is what you have). I need to upgrade my audio. Two : Diamond and Creative Lab cards will work in PCI or PCIe ? I hope I'm not "getting the short end of the stick [to put it politely]" with this configuration on the motherboard.
Most of the new SoundBlaster cards, e.g. I've got the Gigabyter GA-Z77-DS3H Motherboard, which has one PCIe slot and one PCI x4 slot. the Xfi series, are all PCIe. There are PCI sound cards, but unless you get a relatively high end card you are not going to get better than the internal.
Or, can I just have the front speakers and subwoofer connected ? My System : Windows 7 Professional 32-bit, 3 Gb RAM, NVidia GeForce 210 w/2 Gb RAM, WD SATA II 500 Gb Hard Drive, 500 Watt PSU, SATA II LG Optical Drive. I have a recording studio and do a lot of audio, but I use my recording interface unit (a Roland Octa-Capture) for recording. I had a high end SoundBlaster Xfi sound card installed but it was conflicting with my recording system so I had to remove it - to be truthful I can't hear any difference between the RealTek and SoundBlaster with my 2.1 speaker system.
For other PC audio, I use the built in Re...

Multi-channel sound manager
Good morning all, my sound card seems to have dissappeared from my PC, when on the drop down menus and I try to access nothing happens, also the general volume overall on the PCs speaker system has dropped considerably. At full volume it used to be very loud but this is now not the case, and this is across different applications ie Real Player, Itunes, or listening to live radio BBC etc, but AOL radio seems unaffected. Can anyone help?
wii not compatable to latest multi-channel BT Router
The same could be achieved by plugging a separate Wireless Access Point into the Hub, but stand-alone Wireless Access Points tend to be as expensive, if not more so, than a wireless Cable/DSL router which, of course, incorporates a Wireless Access Point.
Have phoned Wii who tell me that existing Wii consuls will not connect to
the latest multi channel BT Wireless HUB 3 any body solved this probelm
One possible solution might be to connect a Cable/DSL Router (which doesn't incorporate a modem) to one of the Hub's LAN ethernet ports and connect wirelessly to that instead of directly to the Hub.
Multi-word DMA mode 2 for primary channel
I have a HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop (2GB RAM, 100GB HDD) with Windows XP MCE 2005 running. But now I do see a hit on my laptop's performance. Recently I had to to do an in-place upgrade as I was getting BSOD on trying to enter safe mode. Check Event Viewer for errors on boot.
For my CD/DVD drive, it says 'Location 0(0)'. It takes longer to boot and hand over cursor control after booting. Everything went on fine without a glitch.
Please let me know if above behavior is correct; if not, how to fix it. For device 0 it displays current transfer mode as 'Multi-word DMA mode 2' and for device 1 it says 'Not applicable'
- In Device Manager, for HDD properties, it says 'Location 0'. After much research, I observed the following:
- In Device Manager, for Primary IDE channel, I have the 'DMA mode, if available' option set to true. Device Manager reports no secondary channel though.
I just have one HDD and one CD/DVD drive.
- I ran Nero infotool utility and it reports CD/DVD drive running on primary channel and HDD on secondary channel.
Multi Channel (Audio) MPEG-2 editor
If it's simple things like removing ads, try VideoReDo.
I finally found out about clear QAM (For those that want to know I am on Charter Communications and I get about 20 Clear QAM Channels) and I have been recording all of my favorite shows in HD (I have a Hauppauge HVR-1800 OEM) and I now need a program to let me edit the files and keep Both of the audio tracks.
Configuring multi-channel output in Windows 10?
Can someone help me? The problem? Not for leading questions on issues not yet resolved.
I finally got it powered up, windows 10 installed, and all the drivers installed and updated.
Windows 10 How-To Guides is for write ups of prepackaged solutions... I would like to:
A) Increase the overall speaker volume level going to my receiver. Moved to appropriate area... The volume overall levels seem low and the bass from my subwoofer seems rather low and rather anemic.
My ps3 in the same room connected via HDMI to my surround sound system has a powerful room-filling sound. I feel like such a noob and am certain that I am missing some simple steps in getting my setup properly configured. Moving on, It took me forever to finally figure out how to configure the correct amount of speakers (7.1) using the configure tab under playback devices. My GPU is an AMD 380x 4gb card connected to my Yamaha receiver via HDMI cable.
B) Boost the subwoofer signal going to my pc
C) Enable audio quality such as 24 bit/96 kHz, Dolby TrueHD, DTS Master Audio, ect... Having tested out a few pc games I must admit to being underwhelmed with the audio.
no multi channel digital output from auzen prelude

Volume control issues with multi-channel sound card
I'm thankful for any suggestion on how to solve or work around the problem. The application is supposed to be able to control the volume of different output channels of the sound card RME Fireface 800. RME: Downloads
Also may I ask what is the make and and model of your machine and sound card?
Also have you updated the drivers for your sound card?
Have you tried updating the software to a newer version that is compatible with Windows 7? The application and the volume control changes worked fine with the same application and sound card on a Windows XP machine. Within the VB application direct sound is used to control the volume.
Looking at Window's volume control mixer it can be confirmed that the output channels are correctly assigned to the application but the volume control changes are ignored for some of the channels. However, volume control changes work for some of the assigned channels but not for others. Try looking here to see if there is an updated software version for Windows 7.
music channel ?
Could anyone enlighten me what is channel? channels are the number of speakers. 6 channel means 5.1 surround sound (5 satellites and one subwoofer). 7= 6.1, 8= 7.1
2= stereo, 4=quadriphonic
likewise many soundcard varies with differnent channel.
I just see the dolby digital has 6 channels.
some says 4 channel, some says 6 channel.
Much Info Needed For Build - FX, Dual Channel, Please Explain
My old rig is in my sig. I am pretty lost. FX, X2, dual core, etc.
I have no idea what hardware to start with. Get 1 GB of DDR2 RAM in 512MBx2 if you want Dual channel, since RAM prices are very very high right now (2 GB DDR2 will run up up ~200-300$)
If you do plan on sticking to AMD though, you will want to get an X2, FX processors are out of your price range. (these are basically the enthusiast processors from AMD, similar to intel extreme)
On this budget you're going to have trouble getting a good graphics card, a GOOD (can run all the latest games at max or near max) gpu will run you up at least $300 right now.
Things you want to look for in a mobo: at least one PCI-e x16 slot for a graphics card (all graphics cards are now for this due to the amount of power they can be supplied.) If you plan on doing SLI (hooking up 2 graphics cards) you will need 2 of these slots (or crossfire for the ATI (now AMD) dual graphics cards)
You definitely want a dual core processor, this is where development is going, and they provide much better performance if you like to do more than one task at once. I would be willing to spend maybe $450 total.
I have noticed there are many new types of chips. So, I need to a new motherboard, chip, memory, and video card. Ideally I would like a mechant that would assemble and pretest for a small fee. At first I thought it was the video card as per my previous post.
I have a vague understandin...
Music plays via net in audio under unkown channel, connected with a svchost process
within 2 minutes, the process is restarted and the audio is back with another channel as before. According to log it seems to have been a root kit, two threats similar to each other, both eliminated in under 10 min with that program. I open processes, notice a svchost process running like crazy, close it and audio stops. Read in another forum the report a fellow posted from his malware killer and checked for similar such files, but have not found them yet.
Update on the issue.
If the issue resurfaces, I will post a continued plea here for assistance, but so far looking good on second rescan and reboot!
I will do a few reboots and rescans to make sure the system is clean.
The only program I've downloaded recently is Mozilla firefox, the very next day my computer greets me with audio, sounds like pop with a lot of adds, open audio mixer notice an audio channel with name not available.
I ran Malwarebytes to no avail, read up and a few people were praising TLSSKiller as the second coming concerning this exact issue. I ran malwarebytes and it found nothing, I'm not sure where to go to directly disable and prosecute this unwelcome intrusion.
Solved: Can dual channel memory be installed in channel 1 rather than channel 0?
I installed the RAM into 2 and 4 because there is no other way for it to work. Is there any reason I wouldn't get the same performance out of slots 2 and 4 as opposed to 1 and 3?
The Gigabyte's instructions tell me that there are two "dual channels" one using 1 and 3 and the other using 2 and 4.
Here's the problem, I'm building my new PC as we speak and I bought this mammoth cpu cooler (which while I knew it would be big I didn't read any reviews stating it covers a memory slot) which fully covers up my first ram slot and the heat spreader is too tall on the memory to try and weasel it in there.
USB Multi-Channel Audio Device Error! Device Manager! Blue Icicle preamp+ Microphone set-up..
Whomever can help me and anyone who answers, thank you very much! If you need more information, please ask! The Blue Icicle is not supposed to have any downloaded or installed drivers besides it's basic ones. Edit, I fixed the Root Enumerator problem.

Question One! ~~~ I have a USB to XLR studio microphone converter, the Blue Icicle that's not working correctly anymore! Uninstalled and restart, it disappeared.
I also tried download the device drivers of USB Multi-Channel Audio Device from CNET, yet to NO FIX. Very odd. I updated my BIOS to latest version, installed for the most part important drivers. Blue Icicle still giving trouble.
I'm not sure if this information will be of any aid but this is my current motherboard

Trying to Build Multi boot Vista, win 7, 8, 8.1 on one hd
My 2 cents.
I have an HP laptop with 8.1 uefi embedded key. Has anyone successfully done a multiboot like this going all the way back to vista on an oem laptop? I want to format from scratch and run a mbr based multiboot pc
I am confused by the uefi and partitioning.
Way better than trying to go backwards with your current hardware. If you have an HP Laptop that is running Windows 8.1 AND you have a 1 TB hard drive to work with THEN you need to run VMWARE or SUN Virtual Box AND run all of the different OS's you want in a virtual environment AND they can all talk to each other. Can I run windows 8 in a non GPT formatted HDD and utilize the OEM Key?
If so what did you have to do to get around the OEM garbage? I have a one TB hd to work with.

Can't play music unless the madcatz multi headphone thingy is plugged in
Any ideas would be gratefully accepted! Recently I unplugged the damn thing while I was watching a Windows Media video. I had my son unplug and reinstall the speakers, unplug and reinstall the madcat thingy, and we can only hear through the madcat.
Now the [email protected]#$ computer will not play music at all.
build multi room home hybrid network
I have moved to a new house, and it comes with two Ethernet sockets per room, in all main rooms over 3 floors. Until you determine exactly what you want to achieve, how can anyone specify suitable equipment? Also in some rooms, I might want to have WIFI access... That would provide access to all your sockets and then if necessary, use wireless access points as required throughout your home, connecting these to your sockets.
The simplest starting point would be a router and switch large enough to accommodate all your ethernet sockets, then work from there. This means I can build a hybrid home network solution, not relying only on WIFI.
So the question is what hardware should I buy. but how do I wire this to the Ethernet, so I have internet and hone network access by plugging a computer in to any Ethernet socket. but not a repeater solution, simply a WIFI access point for that room.
I need a router to connection to my VDSL phone input in the basement...
