How To Fix Multiple BSOD playing Call of Duty: BO3

TIP: You should click here to fix Windows errors and optimize system speed.

Blue Screen of Death BSOD is a stop error screen that is being displayed on a Windows computer every time a fatal system error or a serious system crash occurs. This is the time when the operating system can no longer work and operate safely. Blue screens usually gives out a stop code which users can use to determine the root of the problem.

Generally, blue screens are a result of an issue with the computer hardware or its driver software. Low-level softwares can also cause the system to crash and trigger a BSOD. However, regular apps and programs can not cause BSOD if they crash.

Windows automatically makes a “minidump” file when a blue screen arises. This file contains details about the crash that will help identify the main cause of the blue screen error.

From the Forums

A user in the forum details it further:

processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU, 760 @ 2.80GHz, 2.40GHz Installed memory (RAM): 8.00 GB system type: 64-bit Operating System, x64 based-processor Operating System: Windows 8.1 Pro Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570 I have uploaded the zip file with the memory dump. I ran memtest86 for 18 passes and it returned no errors for my RAM. I am running a genuine copy of windows.

Ever since I've started playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 on my computer I've been experiencing BSOD. The BSOD errors I've experienced are: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER, MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION, and possibly others that I'm forgetting. I'm still getting BSOD but they seem to be happening slightly less frequently, but it still makes it very annoying when trying to play games. Here are my computer specifications.

I downgraded back to windows 8.1 pro and did a clean install. Right now the only things I have installed are steam, geforce, COD: BO3, and some drivers for my graphics card and drivers so I can use a PS3 controller with steam. I upgraded to windows 10 and the BSOD and computer crashes seemed to increase.

What causes Multiple BSOD playing Call of Duty: BO3

To fix a Blue Screen of Death error, you need to take note of the text on the screen when it happened. It often contains a list of files associated with the crash including device drivers that could have triggered the error. Since most Windows are designed to automatically restart after a blue screen, you need to make sure that you disable this feature in order to do any necessary troubleshooting in future cases of BSOD.

One most important thing to do after a blue screen is to ask yourself what you did before it occurred. It could be that you are trying to install a new software, updating a device driver or installing updates - the key is there. You can also check your storage and make sure that there is enough space for Windows to operate safely. You can also set hardware settings and BIOS to default to help troubleshoot the problem.

BSOD While Playing Call of Duty MW1 & 2

It seems to happen mostly in MW 1 Single player and Multi as well as MW2 Multi (but Single is ok ) It happens about 4 minutes into my 1st match

At first i suspected it might be, because MW1 and 2 both use the iw3sp.exe (Solo) and iw3mp.exe (Multi)

- Its not Hardware related, it built my PC myself and all the hardware is Fine, i even upgraded my RAM to 16gb and GPU to an ATI 6970

- Ive Updated my GPU Drivers to latest as well as trying Old ones

- I have no viruses and so regular Scans with Malware Byes and ESET NOD 32

So i think it might be software related

I've attached the Mini Dump file Bellow

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thank you

BSOD playing Call of Duty MW3, error 0x0000016

Then I installed Call of Duty - MW3 Game and the performance of the game is not so great. Even my HD movies/half HD movies in my laptop stutter sometimes and I have no clue why it happens. My Laptop is still under warranty and I would like to know what should be the solution for my problem. I tried changing the settings so that my game takes only the NVIDIA processor but still it gave BSOD error while modifying the settings in NVIDIA control panel.

I downloaded and installed it. I visited nvidia website and searched for graphics driver updates and found the newer version (296.10). Game didnt even start.

Dear Team,

I have bought a Dell Inspiron N5110 recently in Feb 2012, with following specifications:

* If playing with video driver versions hasn't helped, make sure the box is not overheating.

* Try removing a side panel and aiming a big mains fan straight at the motherboard and GPU.

* Run it like that for a few hours or days - long enough to ascertain whether cooler temperatures make a difference.

* If so, it might be as simple as dust buildup and subsequently inadequate cooling.

Nope, attachments aren't correct - some things are missing (I use the perfmon report, the systeminfo.txt report, the MSINFO32.nfo report, and any memory dump files that are available). Please try again, and zip up the entire contents into 1 zip file to upload.

BSOD playing games, especially Dota 2 and Call of Duty Ghosts.

I'm not sure how to retrieve the error codes, so can someone please help me.

Hey guys, I've been getting numerous BSOD when I play games such as Dota 2, Call of Duty Ghosts and Counter Strike Source/Global Offensive. Then follow it: Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD
Go to Option Two, Point 2.

This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly. In the mean time, there must be some system changes, and analyzing those dumps may not represent the continuing present. Download the .reg file and merge it in registry by double clicking it. Quote:

Friend getting BSOD while playing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

I can't help you with that zip file but I do have a question.

I'm posting on behalf of my friend, his PC is rebooting while playing Advanced Warfare. Why not ask your friend to join the 7 forum.

It cost nothing and they will be able to enjoy our posting in comfort.

I have attached his dump files.

Solved: Removing Call of Duty & Call of Duty United Offensive

I was playing CoDUO one day and tried to play a map which would not load because the game was reading the wrong files. I have followed the steps given by colmaca but to no success. I decided it was a great itea(at the time) to just go and delete all of my call of CoD/CoDUO files without uninstalling either first. Please help, I would like to get back to my 'clan' on CoDUO

Is there anything else I should try? I found a post here on how to possible delete Cod and CoDUO from my computer, that post is here: . if I click on uninstall, the uninstall wizard starts to open, then goes away with no affect. When I insert the CD, the main title screen opens and gives me the options to play in single/multiplayer, or uninstall.

After deleteing all files(or what I thought was all files) I tried to reinstall both games. I have tried searching in all hidden/non-hidden and all indexed/non-indexed places on all my drives to find anything related to Call of Duty, and get nothing.

A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint. Do you have any spare parts (or another PC) to test with? Fill out this form and post back the result:

Good practice, open up the case and re-seat all types of connection.

Make sure that every connection is seating properly and firmly in-place. How old are your components? Please follow this tutorial and post it in your next post. i.e

Y50 UHD (4k) black borders when playing Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare

SO the first thing to check is that your game is running using the correct GPU. So the game decides to run by itself (or by GeForce) on UHD. I suppose that I should change the resolution somehow in the NVIDIA settings (because as far as I know the desktop resolution is the Intel one) but I don't know how. A LOT of topics in here) but didn't find solution. This in my case is just a case of right clicking the executable and making sure that that preferred GPU is the NVIDIA one and not the Intel one.

Google - Nvidia Optimus - for more details. In my case, the Nvidia drivers do not control the scaling of the inage, that is down to the Intel one. Zip. I have no idea. Ok, I have this same issue with my new Y70.

Simple right? WRONG, because Intel will detect your previously rather out of date Intel HD driver and tell you that it is a modified OEM one and therefore can't risk changing it (to one that probably works even better). So let me explain: I have my resolution on the desktop set at 1920 x 1080. When it starts the screen flickers as when the resolution is changing and it ends with small screen of the game in the middle with black borders around. I have GeForce Experience and NVIDIA Control Panel, but on both places there aren't any resolution settings. Hope that I was clear enough with my non-native English, will be grateful for any response! P.S.

Also for Nvidia GPU you have the Nvidia control panel (lower r...

BSOD with Call of Duty MW3, Kernal Data In page Error

Then, here's the procedure:
- Go to Start and type in "verifier" (without the quotes) and press Enter
- Select "Create custom settings (for code developers)" and click "Next"
- Select "Select individual settings from a full list" and click "Next"
- Select everything EXCEPT FOR "Special Pool", "Force Pending I/O Requests" and "Low Resource Simulation" and click "Next"
- Select "Select driver names from a list" and click "Next"
Then select all drivers NOT provided by Microsoft and click "Next"
- Select "Finish" on the next page. Continue to use your system normally, and if you know what causes the crash, do that repeatedly. If you can't get to Safe Mode, then you'll have to resort to offline editing of the registry to disable Driver Verifier. But sometimes it'll crash and won't tell you the driver.

It still crashed. The BSOD has listed "Kernal data in page error". So, I'd suggest that you first backup your stuff and then make sure you've got access to another computer so you can contact us if problems arise. Noticed RAID had gone critical.

These crashes were caused by memory corruption/exception (probably a drivr)
Please run these two tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.

BSOD playing Cal of Duty Blacks Ops 2, DIsplay Driver crashes to deskt

I've encountered an error on my computer recently. While playing Black ops 2 I loaded into a match and my display locked up and produced little green squares on the screen. I bought the card in January of 2014, so i dont see how the card would have died so quickly. Any help would be appreciated to figure out if it is in fact a driver issue, or if the new card is dying.

Do you use Geforce experience? I've tried uninstalling the dirvers and sweeping them and reinstalling the most current ones I've tried adjusting settings for lower clocks or higher fan speeds. I uswe it all of the time for new drivers.

It did not bluescreen here, but since that I have looked at the event logs and it says that the nvlddmkm driver has stopped working. You might want to try this.
