How To Fix My software is still activated !
My software is still activated ! is the name of the error that contains information about the error, including the reason why it occurred, which system component or application was malfunctioning that caused the error, and other information. The numerical code in the name of the error contains data that can be decoded by the manufacturer of the faulty component or application. An error using this code can occur in many different places in the system. Although the name contains some details, it is still difficult for the user to find and eliminate the cause of the error without specialized technical knowledge or the appropriate software.

But the real magic was that when I installed Nitro PDF Professional on my new windows installation, I found it to be completely activated with my previous activation code. www.microsoft.com/genuine/validate Regards. . . Better question may be - if Windows 7 full retail reinstalled < 24 hours after HDD format, is it activated and validated? It may have reached out over the Internet.
I'm really really curious and can't even dream well !! etc. How can that be possible ???
Cause I formatted only the system partition and the other partitions were kept as they were. The windows 7 100MB system reserved partition was also unformatted. were all lost. In my previous windows 7 sp1 installation I downloaded and offline activated Nitro PDF Professional and every thing was well when a sudden virus attack made me reinstall the windows and all my previously installed softwares and drivers etc. Please help.
It's just going over my small head !!! jcgriff2 `

Activated software, what happens when.
Solved: software is not activated
What happens after the 30 day expiration for the activation of OS SW? If the PC doesn't have internet access, does the OS just fade away, become useless by too many pop up warnings, or does it just not receive any more SW updates?
I am not asking this question because of anything illegal but I am just curious.
How to find out if the software is activated
Trying to get help from the Microsoft site is like wrestling a greased weasel
My general question here is "How to find out if the software that I installed is already activated ?" Is there a general place (a file or registry entry) where I can check ? Originally Posted by MSWINUSER

Norton AntiVirus Software asking to be activated
Some software companies are starting to use the same sort of "activation" technology built into winxp to combat piracy, so if your software is updated over the internet it may have incorporated that technology into your installation.
I find it kind of strange that after using this NAV software for almost 2 years, suddenly, I was asked to activate the software. couldn't find any answer. Not sure why this is required ...
But after that, everything seemed fine
Does your Norton software automatically update itself? Then after activating, I was given the activation key -
anybody had this strange experience before?

Windows 10 pro is not activated and I need to know how to get it activated without purchasing a key?
The download went fine and it rebooted. Followed instructions to do a customer install and everything worked great, but now windows isn't activated. I upgraded for free from windows 7 pro. The download went fine and it rebooted. I tried f8 but nothing. It kept rebooting and nothing would work.

Went from activated to non activated with error 0xC0000022
When entering my key under slui 3.
Ok so mid day sunday my computer rebooted for windows updates and all was fine. About 3 hours later I started having issues with my computer.
My wifi wouldn't work properly, it wasn't retrieving a IP address from my router and when I would hit the button on my laptop to toggle it on and off it wouldn't come back on at all even after several reboots, and it starting popping up asking me to activate windows. So earlier today I "refreshed" my laptop and my wifi problems were fixed. When I would click activate under the pc settings after hard wiring my laptop a circle would spin for a second and then nothing. But it's still pestering me about activation and I have the watermark on my desktop.
I've tried using slui 3 and slui 4 to no avail. Please post the Application and System Event Logs... I'd get the access denied 0xC0000022 error and with slui 4 I get the same with no activation id. Please open Event Viewer
In the left pane, navigate to the Windows Logs
right-click on Applications and select 'Save all events as...' save as Apps.evtx
repeat for the System logs - save as Sys.evtx
Compress both files, and attach to your reply.
Windows Activated and then de-activated :@
Now,today,15PM Buenos Aires,I turn on the machine, and what do I find?=.... Hell....now its Activated....well,I dont know what to say,2 minutes ago the machine said this was not a genuine copy....what could have happened? Probably took a moment or two for Windows to find the activation.
Ok,lets start from 0=
Two days ago I reformatted the machine and instaled A GENUINE OEM WINDOWS HOME PREMIUM 32 BITS edition. After installing it and all the drivers,I went to My SYSTEM and activated Windows.I could see the "Original" Sticker to the right. The main thing is that you now have a genuine activated system.
Windows 8 activated but not activated?
I'm still using Windows 8, I haven't upgraded to 8.1 or anything. Haven't had any issues at all up until today. I wouldn't know how to find my product key, and I'm not very tech savvy but any help with this is appreciated. Now the action center is displaying "Activate Windows now (Important)".
I bought this computer 2 years ago brand new from best buy with Windows 8 already installed. Installed updates from windows update, restarted, and was told it failed to configure the updates. If I click on the message in action center it just brings me to another screen saying "Windows isn't activated" with "Enter a new product key to activate Windows." underneath the previous message, from there options are "Activate with a new key" or "Buy a new key".
Alright it seems I've solved the issue, after doing a bit of research I stumbled across a program known as "Belarc Advisor" which allowed me to find my product key, after inputting it, the action center message went away. However, under Control Panel, System and Security, System, Windows activation section at the bottom says "Windows is activated". It is now saying Windows 8 is activated, displaying my product key and telling me the date I initially activated it - 1/2/2013.
Says current edition is Windows 8, and Current product key not available.
Windows XP Media Center Activated, but Windows still says not activated
It's activated and windows media center 2005 says it is activated, but it's really weird.
I have a computer that has an activated copy of media center on it. I go to login it puts me through the activation loop.
I'm past my 30 days...Is there anyway to stop it from going through this loop? (and no I'm not asking for a crack) I'm asking for a legal way around it
When was my PC activated?
How can I find an activation date for my PC when I first bought it, even though the hard drive has been re-formatted? It must be buried somewhere in the PC data but I can't find it there or anywhere on the internet. Windows Home Premium.
activated not activated
When I go to the page that used to say activate now etc it now says windows activated. Sometimes on start-up it comes up with a blue page that says its not activated and go to pc settings, when I click on that it says sorry you have received an error message.
2. Everything seems to be working well but, it is very annoying to have the bootup interrupted.

Restart the computer and see if the problem persists.. Sometimes on start-up it comes up with a blue page that says its not activated and go to pc settings, when I click on that it says sorry you have received an error message.
If it persists post a screenshot of the error message that you receive

Oh, FFS what next? 7 is de-activated...
I just know that if I re-activate the beta, it will knock out Vista again and I'm not in the mood to install another copy of Vista to re-activate the original one. (My work around from last time) I've had my current fill of OS installing
I'm seriously thinking of ditching this build and waiting for the 'public' one. I then installed Vista.
On this new PC build, to avoid 7 de-activating Vista, I installed and activated the beta first. Maybe its just you cause your name is beta breaker
Since I've spent the majority of time re-setting up Vista, I haven't been booting into 7 all that much. All was good. Has anyone else had the pleasure of having their 6801 build becoming deactivated, or am I on my own again with this particular treat?
(sorry all, but sh*t I'm cranky ATM)
I haven't booted 7 in a week or so.
When I did, it was only to discover a new 'problem'
Long story short: I'm in 7 and I just noticed a balloon tip telling me to activate the beta, so I checked, and sure enough the beta has 16 days left to activate You have got to be flapping well kidding me...
WIN 10 Activated or NOT ?
Last weekend I updated my wife's laptop from WIN 8.1 Pro to the free Win 10 Pro.
Help ! slmgr /xpr
You should see a message telling you if you are permanently activated.
Interesting. Right click at the Start button > click Commend Prompt (Admin) > click Yes > at the flashing prompt, copy and paste this................... I thought that it updated reasonably well, except that I noticed this morning In 'Control Panel/System' that it says 'Windows is not activated"
But if I click on the 'Activate Windows" button it comes up with a 'Settings/Update & Security page saying' -" Windows 10 Pro ", - Windows is Activated". "Windows 10 on this device is activated with a digital enhancement"
Which am I to believe ?
How I re-activated the Fn+F5 on my S12
Go to Solution. To have Fn keys to work, hotkey driver is in needed, and this is actually embedded in Lenovo Energy Management driver for some reasons that i have yet to understand from engineering point of view.
So I wish to see more of your sharing about your hands-on experience on your s12!
not activated now
Had a busy month so far!
Help.... The next was to first split up the single drive on a second build used remotely to try things out as well as being available if and when needed.
What should I try to do next ? The upgrade there was buggy where the next was a second upgrade to repair finally to be replaced by a clean install since the second upgrade over the upgrade never activated! The Start button was missing, the right click menu appeared as a very narrow vertical line on the screen making things awkward, and the Settings screen was a total blank as well as no access to the Apps portion of the Start menu! Plan to see a fresh clean install of one of the previous versions to upgrade over and then once activation is verfied plan a clean install.
I do not wish to purchase a Windows 10 Home operating system unless it is absolutely necessary. I had to use three installs one being the initial upgrade on more then one system. The main case had a mix of Sata II with Sata 3 drives when first put together while the S3 drive is doing quite well on the Sata II/EIDE only micro atx board there. As you can see the second case had an issue not from the upgrade but the partition changes made there while the next and last Big Time fail came when upgrading a 32bit 7 Home Premium laptop with 3gb of memory to the 64bit 10 Home.
First the main case had storage drives left plugged preventing 10 from completing the upgrade. So, I am still reading and wonder...
But all the sudden Microsoft wants to deny me of my program. Calling by phone says they can't validate it.
I just reformatted my comptuer, and after installing Microsoft word 2002, which came with my computer, I opened it up, and it says it needs to be activated.
Well, yea, I installed this version on every computer in my house (2 others total.) Both of them gave me the okay for installing. Okay, fair enough. I click on the activate by internet option, and it says this copy has already been activated on another computer.
Will this get activated ?
I have since then upgraded to Windows 10 Home RTM on July 29th, 2015. I have a set of Windows 7 "factory default" DVDs. Naturally, I have the genuine product key. You can legally only have one installed and activated at the same time with the key.
If you uninstalled Windows 10, then you would be able to legally install and activate Windows 7 again with that key, but you may need to activate by phone.
My worry is that it won't because the key is already tied to Win 10 install. If I create a partition and install Win 7 Home Premium, will it get activated with my Win 7 key ?
I have a laptop came preinstalled with Windows 7 Home Premium.
Already activated, why is it asking me again?
I activated my Vista 64 for the first time a few days ago "over the phone." Today it's tells me to activate--27 days left.
Did you change videocard drivers, or updated bios to motherboard?
Contacted support, might as well have been talking to a Martian, best answer I got was "Wait 48 hours". No problem with Win 7 on separate hard drive.
Win 10 was activated.
I installed a new motherboard and now it says not activated. Did you try to activate it with your W7 registration ?
Realized that I don't really need Win 10 and definitely won't be buying it.
