News from BlackHat: Million Browser Botnet

That?s what we want! Put simply, instruct browsers to make HTTP requests they didn?t intend, even something as well-known as Cross-Site Request Forgery. At a moment?s notice, we will show how it is possible to run javascript on an impressively large number of browsers all at once and no one will be the wiser. Oh, and there is no patch.

Before leveraging advertising networks, the reason this attack scenario didn?t worry many people is because it has always been difficult to scale up, which is to say, simultaneously control enough browsers (aka botnets) to reach critical mass. Today this is possible, and practical. You are SUPPOSED to use this ?feature? to show ads, to track users, and get clicks, but that doesn?t mean you have to abide. Also nice, when the user leaves the page, our code vanishes.

Online advertising networks can be a web hacker?s best friend. We know, because we tested it? in-the-wild. I guess this may be left up to the advertiser publisher to white list certain ads after quality control... For mere pennies per thousand impressions (that means browsers),
there are service providers who allow you to broadly distribute arbitrary javascript -- even malicious javascript!

While all useful methods in certain scenarios, they lack simplicity, invisibility, and most importantly -- scale. With a few lines of HTML5 and javascript code we?ll ...

Mac OSX/iOS hacks at Blackhat – are scammers setting their sights?

For years scammers and hackers focused largely on Windows x86-based platforms, in many ways because that?s where the bulk of the users were. A few years ago Mac sessions were far more rare, so does this mean the age of Mac hacking has arrived?http://blog.eset.com/2012/08/03/mac-osxios-hacks-at-blackhat-are-scammers-setting-their-sightsHMMMMMMMMMMMMM????????? At Blackhat and Defcon last week we saw a flurry of talks on Mac OSX/iOS security, trying to illuminate possible chinks in the armor.Apple Blackhat OS X iOS DefconFrom proof-of-concept hacks on the boot loader sequence (EFI), where rogue drivers could potentially be hooked into and used to wreak havoc on OSX, to firmware flashing and other low level hacks, running the gamut to app security, and kernel heap as well, the spotlight squarely focused on Mac OSX and iOS.

Getting Month periods to show in ACCESS query as 0 when there is no data for the month

DATE TEST
Month Total
2015/04 1
2015/07 1
2015/09 1
2016/01 1
2016/02 1

As you can see from the above results an Access query there are periods without any data. My query currently reads:

SELECT Format([TimeOfCall],"yyyy/mm") AS [Month], Count([INCIDENT NEW].SALESIncidentIdentifier) AS Total
FROM (SALES LEFT JOIN VICTIM ON SALES.IncidentIdentifier = VICTIM.SALESIncidentIdentifier) RIGHT JOIN [INCIDENT NEW] ON SALES.IncidentIdentifier = [INCIDENT NEW].SALESIncidentIdentifier
WHERE (((VICTIM.VictimType)="1"))
GROUP BY Format([TimeOfCall],"yyyy/mm");

Can someone tell me how to achieve this easily please.

I need them to be displayed within the query as a zero.

Excel Tracking movement in Ranking from Month to Month

It will then use that number as the rows argument (after we subtract 1 from it) for the OFFSET function. -1 as the cols argument will reference the column to the left.Another method is SUMIF:=SUMIF(Sheet1!$B$2:$B$10, Sheet2!B2, Sheet1!$A$2:$A$10) Since there is only one occurrence of each player number in the range, the SUMIF will only return a single rank value for each player. You could subtract 2 SUMIF's to get the change in Rank directly.=SUMIF(Sheet1!$B$2:$B$10,Sheet2!B2,Sheet1!$A$2:$A$10) -SUMIF(Sheet2!$B$2:$B$10,Sheet2!B2,Sheet2!$A$2:$A$10)Click Here Before Posting Data or VBA Code ---> How To Post Data or Code. There are multiple ways to reference a cell to the left of a value. One method is to use OFFSET and MATCH:=OFFSET(Sheet1!$B$2,MATCH(Sheet2!B2,Sheet1!$B$2:$B$10,0)-1,-1)This formula will MATCH the value from Sheet2!B2 in the range SHEET1!$B$2:$B$10 and return position of the player number in that list. Each month is contained on a different worksheet.I need a formula that tells me how many places up and down in the rankings a player fell or increased each month. Is this even possible?

(Resolved) Compare this month's sales to this month last year

Can some kind soul give me a hand here?

I figured it out. I was trying to just hone in on a particular month last year but I guess that was the lazy way out. Had to use "between". Anyway, here's what I ended up with to compare May 02 to May 03:

Between DateSerial(Year(Date())-1,Month(Date())-1,1) And DateSerial(Year(Date())-1,Month(Date()),1)-1

I've tried datediff, dateserial, dateadd but can't seem to get it right.

I'm trying to create an Access query that compares invoices generated in May of 2002 to invoices generated in May of 2003 so we can see how much money we made compared to last year at this time.

Completely Dead Four Month Old Gaming PC (for the second time in a month)

Next option was the motherboard which I was able to return to amazon.co.uk who were very helpful and upon receipt of that I had the IT chap who originally built my PC completely rebuild the computer again with the new motherboard.
I purchased the components for a reasonably high end gaming computer during the Autumn of last year and until a month ago had been having no problems at all with it. For a week everything was rosy, then this morning I again went to switch on the computer and again it was as lifeless as before. My Specification
Case: NZXT H440 Mid Tower
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97x Gaming-G1 Wifi-BK
Processor: Intel Core i7 4790K 4GHz Socket 1150 8MB
PSU: Corsair HX1000i
GPU: 2 x Gigabyte GeForce GTX970 G1 Gaming running in SLI
Memory: Kingston HyperX Beast 16GB (2x8GB) PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel
Cooling: Corsair H105 top intake, 3 x Noctua 120mm front intake, 1 x 140mm rear exhaust
Drives: Samsung 840 EVO 1TB SSD boot drive & Seagate 3TB Constellation CS Hard Drive
I have done no overclocking as yet but hoped to at some stage.

After an evening of online gaming I switched it off and also at the mains but the following day when I tried to switch it back on again it was completely lifeless. Unplug the memory modules & plug them back in, unplug the power connector from the motherboard & plug that back in, unplug the power cables & data cables from your drives and plug them back in. Upon arrival I popped it back in myself and powered i...
