Seeing an error when you work on your computer is not an instant cause of panic. It is not unusual for a computer to encounter problems but it is also not a reason to let it be and not to investigate on the errors. Windows errors are issues that can be fixed through solutions depending on what may have caused them in the first place. Some may only need a quick fix of re-installation of the system while others may require in-depth technical assistance. It is crucial to react to the signals on your screen and investigate the problem before trying to fix it.

From the Forums

A user in the forum details it further:

If anyone could help me, I would greatly appreciate it. http://www.microsoft.com/globaldev/h...pintlsupp.mspx I know no russian, so navigating through the menus has been tricky.

Does anyone know how to change the Russian interface back to English. I have tried all kinds of ways to change the language over to English, but nothing has worked.

What causes Windows XP Russian Language Problem

Whenever you see windows error on your screen, the easiest and safest way to fix it is to reboot your computer. Just like our bodies needing a shut eye for several minutes, our computers also need to shut down once in awhile. A quick reboot can refresh your programs and gives your computer a clean slate to start a new venture. More often than not, it also eliminates the errors you have encountered after rebooting. It is also ideal to shut down your computer once a week to completely put all unused programs to rest. However, when a reboot does not work anymore, use more advanced Windows solutions to fix your errors.

Qosmio G30-141: Want to change Windows language from Russian to English

Please help me or someboady have DVD boot cd in English

Message was edited by: ilyasn

Hey Ilyas

Unfortunately, there is no much to do?. I need MUI for Windows Media Center. Please help me to convert my Windows language.

I can format and to put windows Xp pro English, but in this time i will not able to use TV tunner and other services. If you want to use the Windows in English language you will have to buy the original Microsoft Windows CD with a English version of Win MCE. The OS language cannot be converted!!! Then you have to install this OS and the necessary drivers from the Toshiba driver page.

I want in English. I have bought it in my homeland. The drivers can be chosen in different languages?.

I have Toshiba Qosmio G30-141 series.

Here all Toshibas are in Russian. Please help me for converting my language.

seo software allows russian language

Mine will not accept the Russian characters

As far as I'm concerned, SEO is a relatively simple process that is well suited to humans, not software. Try this book if you want to do your own SEO: click here
I will assume that there is no language barrier at work, as you're already working on this project, but if that's a factor, you could use the services of a translator.

You should be able to select from the drop down something for your native language.

Change language from Russian to French

My father received a new computer while travelling for his job in Russia. The rest is still in Russian and the alphabet is still in Russian. Second, since it's in Russian, I can't update to the new Windows 8.1 version and all the explanations for this problem on the Microsoft website are only available for that version. So far, I've found out two things I should probably mention.

First is that I can't just download the language pack because it's apparently already on the computer so the download button isn't available. Really you need to just tell your father to not use that machine, sell it and get one from a dealer or computer manufacturer that you can trust.

And as lovely as that gift is, the whole thing works in Russian.

And I really am not used to the new Windows 8 appearance so I can't even try to guess because everything is different from my computer. Which means even the alphabet is different and we can't read a thing on it. The only thing that changes is the language of the start-up menu. If anyone can help, please do !

I'd really appreciate it. After trying to understand how it works, I found how to change the language but it doesn't entirely change it. I hope my explanation was clear enough and if not, do feel free to ask me any question

Locked out, language changed to Russian!

The message there is just

The system could not log you on. No password for Admin was entered, so if there is a password, he doesn't know it. Having had a little look at Youtube, logging on as Administrator doesn't work.

Anything entered is also now in Russian. This is edited from the forum site rules:

Please do not ask for assistance with a forgotten or unknown password that may be required on a computer. Somehow, not only has he installed a password he can't remember, the machine's language has changed to Russian.

Make sure your User name and domain are correct, then type your password again. Oh this is a Fujitsu Lifebook running WinXP pro

Thanking you in advance!

Language Bar: no Cyrillic for Russian, no Bulgarian at all

It won't give me the Cyrillic alphabet. I cannot tell you about Bulgarian because it has vanished from the Language Options list--just isn't there at all. Trying to set up on a newer computer, I enabled some languages in Control Panel > Regional & Language Options.

But when I set the language bar to Russian, I can type only in the standard Latin, same as English. In Serbian and Ukrainian there is no problem, I get Cyrillic from the keyboard, but not in Russian.

XP Pro. So why don't I get Cyrillic when the language bar is set to Russian, and how could Bulgarian simply disappear from the list? (I don't see FYROMacedonian either, although it was there on my former computer; I presume the same has happened to it, whatever the same is).

Do I need Ultimate for Russian language input?

Or does language pack simply make the whole UI in another language?

Just like the title says, would I need to buy the Ultimate edition to keep the option for Russian language input? Ultimate lets you swap the GUI into Russian, but you can use cyrillics within Internet Explorer, Word, Etc on any version of W7 providing you set up things correctly.

how to read Russian without changing OS language

When I had x32 windows 7 Ultimate Installed I could read Russian texts with ease, without changing OS language and stuff. Still, there are some texts that I can read in Russian, but some display weird Symbols. This is the same program I try to install.
1)This is what I can see when I run it.
2)when I press X(cancel) Russian is displayed perfectly.

I think this happens because some Russian fonts are missing? This is my first x64 and I encountered a problem reading Russian texts. Here are the attachments. Please help.

I bought new PC and Installed windows 7 ultimate x64. I googled a lot and everyone says the same: "In order to read Russian, change display language to Russian-Restart PC" I've did that and it works, BUT I don't want to change options and restart PC every time I encounter Russian texts! Open Windows Update, click on the link for "Optional Updates". I have english US set as OS language.

You'll find the Russian Language Pack there somewhere.

If so where can I download them? P.S This program IS NOT the only one with such "weird symbol" Issue.

[WINXP-SP3] Adding Russian As Input Language

Maybe this will help: http://www.auburn.edu/~mitrege/russi.../cyrillic.html

I am having issues adding Russian as an input language in my installation of Windows XP SP3

I have looked at tutorials which ask me to add the language through Control Panel > Regional and Language Options > Text Services and Input Languages > Add Input Languages

But Russian is not an available option (as you can see in the image below)

http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/4893/issue.png

How can I add Russian as an input language in my OS? PLEASE NOTE: IT IS NOT IN THE AVAILABLE OPTIONS OF INPUT LANGUAGES TO INSTALL BY DEFAULT.

[SOLVED] How do I install a unicode (Russian) language?

If I open a text document and try to type something - I will be able to see Russian letters, BUT when I save, close, and re-open, that's what I get:

As you can see the filename is in Russian, but what was inside became some kind of strange symbols that have nothing to do with Russian language. not on the software text like you showed... Sadly nobody gave you an answer... If I create a new file and name it with Russian letters - it does it.

but with my problem now... this worked for me always... Sometimes I would see the letters during the installation and sometime it shows me all those strange symbols or question marks.

SELECT RUSSIAN and reboot... My advice for your problem, I would do the next...{hope helps}
Start --> Control Panel --> Regional and Language Options --> Advaced --> Select a language to match the language version of the non-Unicode..bla bla... If you had russian from the begining, change to English US rebot... I will greatly appreciate your help.....

My problem is:
- I don't want to install a Russian version of Vista, because I want my system to communicate English to me.
- I want it to communicate in English, but recognize Russian letters. Windows XP - English
Also want to see Russian, and Spanish and French

Everything worked fine, until I installed a russian version of ICQ... No instead of ? I see б for example (?=б)[weird huh] but I can still see Russian... in the content editing... Russian language programs on English Vista

Problem in Supporting German Language by setting Greek as Regional Language

But i am able to transfer (driver/vehicle) file if my OS's Regional setting is other than Greek."

So my question is that why German language is not supported by operating system only if my regional setting is Greek (it is working fine if regional setting is other than Greek). I would be very-very thankful to you.
So the problem is that when i got a (driver/vehicle) file in German language and i try to transfer it to server, it fails if my regional setting is set to Greek Language.

Is there a bug in Windows XP or Visual Studio 8 or we are doing something wrong. If it is supported then please tell me how to support it. If there German language is not supported by Greek OS then please refer my some url where such information is available which clearly speaks that this scenario is not at all supported.
